While the basic concept behind aneroid barometer movements hasn’t changed since the 19th Century, this movement, which is visible because of the open dial, looks much different because of the placement of the parts of the movement. Whatever the Fischer company has done, it has resulted in a very sensitive aneroid barometer. This barometer is 6 3/4″ in diameter while the dial itself is 5″ in diameter. The movement is housed in dark wood with a silver dial and black lettering. A handsome brass ring secures the plastic lens to the wooden housing. This barometer comes with the original packing and a multilingual instruction manual.
