Green Fortin Type Stick Barometer with Hand Carved Wooden Case. Green moved to New York in 1849 and worked as Jas. Green until 1879, at which time he began to work with his nephew and the instruments were then marked J. Green – so fairly easy to date this as being made between 1849 and 1879. The wood case is hand carved and fits beautifully. The barometer is marked “1700″, as is the case. As shown, the barometer measures 41 1/4 long. In very good condition with some light wear to the brass fittings. We can’t say for sure if this is in all working condition. Fragile items will be double boxed. We will never use newspaper as padding, although we do recycle clean boxes. Return must be mailed within 60 days of package receipt. We check e-mails nearly every day. This Has a Fancy Hand Carved Ornate Carved Walnut Wood’Black Forest’ Style Case, Which Includes: An Aneroid Barometer, Thermometer, and Clock. The Case Has a Decorative Finial on Top, and is Dated 1881 on the Back. The Clock Has the Original Paper Dial with Roman Numerals, and Brass Mechanical Wind-Up 8 Day’Time Only’ Lever Movement. Offering this Rare and Unusual Black Forest Hand Carved Thermometer- Barometer made in the 1920s. The piece measures aprox. 19.25″ long x 10″ wide. This Thermometer Barometer has been beautifully Hand Carved with nice detailed workmanship. What makes this piece rare and unusual is the full carved Deer (Buck) and the Hooded Top resembling that of a Cuckoo Clock. Surrounding the piece are Oak Leaves and Acorns. They Thermometer has the original Milk Glass and all the Mercury inside the tube, and appears to be working. The Barometer has a nice Beveled Glass face and all the very clean Original Works, and it appears to be working. This piece has the nice old original back, with Metal Panels and Hanger If you are a collector, or have that rustic home or cabin look, or just like a unusual decorative piece to hang on your wall, this one is Great. Antique Maritime Barometer Guilt Mermaid Kerr Ship Line

This is a wonderful antique barometer showing a guilt metal mermaid holding the barometer in her arms. It has a porcelain dial with a black wood base with a blue and white enamel flag of the Kerr steamship line. It does work but may need a cleaning of the mechanism. It is in very nice condition showing very little wear. All the gold guilt is intact. 7.25 inches high x 3.75 diameter base. Super rare, antique house shape hygrometer and thermometer. Brass open work hair hygrometer in copper house, on wooden stand, thermometer on top missing, designed by Dr. Ernest, Friedrich, Wilhelm Klinkerfues, and made by Wilhelm. Lambrecht, Göttingen, Germany, 1870s. In working condition, problem is the missing thermometer on top, and a glued crack on wooden stand. Total 23 cm high , dial diameter 7,5 cm, case diamater 12 cm.
