I DO NOT HAVE ANY KNOWLEDGE ABOUT BAROMETERS. TOP OF BAROMETER READS STORMY, CHANGE, FAIR, VERY DRY. THE BOTTOM READS N>P>H>B? THE BACK HAS NPHB IN A CIRCLE. THE FRONT AND DIALS ARE GOOD CONDITION. THE BRASS CASE SHOWS AGE AND WARE AND NEEDS A GOOD POLISHING. I TOOK OFF SO YOU CAN SEE AND FRONT CAN COME OFF TO CHANGE GLASS WHICH HAS SMALL CRACK WHICH IS ON INSIDE CANT FEEL. Antique Pocket Travel Barometer by M Pillischer London in original case

The dial has a pressure range of 20-31 inches and an altitude range of 0-12,000 feet. The outer altitude ring rotates by turning the upper milled brass casework. The beveled glass crystal and brass casing are in very good condition. The silvered dial is tarnished but the markings are perfectly legible – please check the photos carefully. The barometer comes in its original velvet-lined hinged case keep the top and bottom halves closed. The case is very worn with some losses but it has served its purpose of protecting the instrument for well over 100 years. Approx dimensions are 1 7/8 diameter x 5/8 depth. Germany, early 1900’s, made of wood and brass. Depth : 2.5 in. Good overall condition, nice details, in working condition. My name is Greg, I’m a French guy who had business in Charlotte NC for 3 years. Unfortunately, I had to move back to France because of a slow activity. I fell in love with the US, particulary Charlotte! So now my only goal is to return to Charlotte, and for that I want to export French furnitures and antiques there! This idea came because of my love for wood and history. It is a great area to find valuable furnitures and smalls because of the proximity of wealthy ski resorts like Megève and Chamonix Mont-Blanc. It is also close to Geneva (switzerland), about 45minutes by car. The Geneva area is one of the richest in Europe due to finance and whatchmaking. Italy’s not to far as well, 40 minutes. So when you’re living and picking in this kind of environment, It is not rare to come across real pieces of art and history. Tycos Short & Mason double sided pocket barometer, thermometer, compass, cased

Really nice two sided cased Tycos, Short & Mason pocket instrument. One side is the compensated barometer with rotating altitude adjustment up to 12,000 ft. The other side reveals a compass and thermometer (Fahrenheit scale). Instrument condition: Very good; the bezel for the barometer turns easily; the temperature looks accurate (it’s a thin line tube so you have to train your eye); the compass unlocks easily and works; we tested the barometer by putting instrument in zip lock bag and pressing gently watching the needle move. Tarnish around the bezel which will likely polish off, but does not detract. Case condition: Good for age. A bit of leather is missing on part of the rim. One of the two release pins is missing and will need to be replaced. Can open the side w/ missing pin using a stylus or awl. Both case and instrument bear initials: E. An 1850s Weather Station by H. Pearce, Grantham England Barometer Thermometer

An 1850s English Weather station. Set in Mahogany by H. Pearce of Grantham, England. Heres an exceptional find! This banjo or wheel barometer has been preserved from the 1850s! Pearce in Grantham, England, this large weather station has charm and elegance. The Empire-style, hand carved finial tops the station meant to predict temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure. A large wheel or banjo barometer is the focus of the piece. While it appears if all the hardware for the barometer is present, it is unknown whether it is working and is presumed not working. The thermometer works well. The bottom of the piece is signed Pearce; Grantham with a level in between. The weather station is missing the humidity Dry\Moist gauge at top and a style element in the middle. The barometer is in VERY GOOD condition. The mahogany case has been exceptionally well preserved with light wear and no major damage. There are a few minor chips to the finial and a crack that runs across where the humidity gauge should be. The glass setting for the thermometer and domed barometer glass is in exceptional condition. The barometer might be non-functional, but the thermometer works well. The bronze reference dial for the barometer is not able to be set but is likely an easy repair. Height: 40 in Maximum width: 10 in. Barometer tubes will be corked and sealed. Mercury 49cfr173.164 Mercury in any amount not contained in a device is prohibited. Per package is not accepted. Mercury contained in a device (Class -8- Corrosive) may not be regulated as a hazardous material if packaged and prepared under certain conditions. 49 CFR allows an exception to the hazardous material regulations. Thermometers, barometers or fluorescent lights or The package does not contain more than 1lb. 45kg net quantity of mercury per package. Your item will come from a pet and smoke-free home. This came from a local estate here in the North Georgia Mountains. It looks really nice and has nice character. The inside of the back panel has the original paper still intact too! See pictures of everything. When you put the key in and turn it, it does move the hands. Not sure if fully functional… But great looking piece!
