This is a lovely, antique carved Black Forest Barometer. Barometer is made by Veranderlich. Nicely carved and hand painted, the top features a bird of prey and the lower has a village with painted trees. This is a gorgeous example of a Black Forest barometer. 14 ½ x 7 ¼. Seems to be in working condition. No visible chips, scratches, cracks or damage. This is a vintage item that is in pre-owned condition and showing signs of wear consistent with use and storage, which is to be expected considering its age. Magnificent Antique English Carved Oak Banjo Wall Aneroid Barometer Thermometer

Magnificent Antique English Carved Oak Banjo Wall Aneroid Barometer Thermometer. The wood frame measures 36″ long included the metal hanger, the base area is 10 5/8″ wide and it is about 2 3/4 deep. The thermometer is 10 long. The brass bezel for the barometer is 8 3/4″ wide and dial is about 7 1/2″ wide. By far the nicest wall weather station we have ever listed. Very unusual to find it made of solid oak, most being rosewood or walnut. The brass bezel is missing a 2 tiny screws which is essentially nothing to be concerned about. The wood area where the brass bezel screws into has some very small cracking and chipping. Otherwise everything is right. The oak finish has a fine aged patina. See my 12 detailed photos. Antique Maritime Barometer Guilt Mermaid Kerr Ship Line

This is a wonderful antique barometer showing a guilt metal mermaid holding the barometer in her arms. It has a porcelain dial with a black wood base with a blue and white enamel flag of the Kerr steamship line. It does work but may need a cleaning of the mechanism. It is in very nice condition showing very little wear. All the gold guilt is intact. 7.25 inches high x 3.75 diameter base. Antique 19th Century French Derogy Barometer

This antique French barometer was made by Derogy, 33 – 31 Quai de L’Horloge in Paris. Both the maker and the address dates this piece to 1830 – 1850. The housing is made of hand carved wood, with original grey-ish paint and gilding. The inner workings have been serviced by our clock maker and are sound. The thermometer is no longer functional as it has a piece of the glass missing. Notice the circular bottom of this thermometer and the temperature indications, which are Glace at 0 degrees, Tempere and Bain Chaud among others that are very hard to read. The condition of the barometer is good for its age: there is plent of discoloration on the thermometer background, as cleaning it will possibly erase all the writing. There are also numerous small chips to the wood carving consistent with a piece this old and intricate. The Quai de L’Horloge is one of the famous clock maker’s areas on the Ile de France, number 69 is still Breguet. All in all a fantastic piece of history.
