Antique 1850’s Barometer and Thermometer This ornate barometer/thermometer is from the mid 1800’s. The interior face plates are highly decorated with beautiful carving. This divice is used to measure the barometric pressure change from one day to the next with adjustable ivory markers. The mercury in both the thermometer and barometer are fully functional. I believe this piece of history was made in England. I was unable to determine the maker. Beautiful inlayed glass highlight both displays. The top and bottom have small sections of chipped wood that I will not repair. These imperfections are not very noticeable. Once again this highly ornate work of art is fully functional and has helped us with our weather readings. It have provided clear helpful photos. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
