1900 Keuffel & Esser Co. English Exploration Mining Survey Altimeter & Barometer. This wonderful old instrument is a consignment piece and untested. It appears to be in working condition. The Barometer comes with it’s original case that is marked Alfred J. The case also says Mining Engineer Vancouver B. The Barometer also has hand written A. Gaul on the back side. On the dial it is marked with “Improved Surveying Aneroid Compesated”, and Made in England. Along with the name Keuffel & Esser Co. It is approximately 2 3/4″ in diameter, about 3 7/8″ from the bale to the bottom and. When lying flat measures about 1 1/8 high. The case is approximately 4 from top to bottom. There is brassing visible around the sides and edges. A couple small dings in the bottom brass ring. The glass is slightly beveled and in excellent condition including a few bubbles in the glass so most. The case is still functional thou does show some wear, most notably in the buckle.
