Offered for sale is a large Black Forest hand carved wall plaque housing both an aneroid barometer and a thermometer. No cracks, no chips, no repairs! It’s a highly decorative piece, and has been on the wall of my home for decades. It wasn’t until I moved it today to photograph it….. That I realized that BOTH the barometer and the thermometer are WORKING! No one had ever even noticed this before… ! In addition, I just discovered the piece’s only real flaw: the round back plate covering is missing. The four tiny nails are still in place — but the cover is gone.
