This carved wood case like a pocket watch and the glass over the barometer is a thick. 215 piece of glass with a bevel or chamfer around the edge. The case on this barometer is about 8 5/16″ (21.1 cm) in diameter and the thickness is just under 2″. The back of the case is numbered 309 and the cover on the back is marked with the letters H and F with what looks like a spread winged eagle and staff or Caduceus.
