This is a very early dated 1867 striking AND alarm American cast iron table clock, measuring 17 x 11 inches. The case is a cast iron front and sides, with an original wood back board. The cast iron front has original floral gildings in very nice condition on it. The brass movement is a striking and alarm. It has an original label on the back board, showing it was made by Jos. Frank, at 13 John St. The label was printed across the street at 10 John St. This is the first signed Frank clock I have ever seen, so a very rare clock. It has a small round glass window in the base of the clock to enable you to put the pendulum on/off, and see it while the clock is running. CLOCKS ARE OUR BUSINESS– OUR ONLY BUSINESS.
