Offering a rare Black Forest Carved walnut barometer. Created early 20th century. This wonderful barometer features stylized flowers and vines carved in an open work fashion, emblematic of the carvers of the Black Forest. The original barometer mechanism and thermometer are working fine. The piece silhouettes very nicely on the wall. Measuring: 22 Tall, 11 3/4 Wide. A very useable size for apartment or home. The condition is excellent. Only a slight vertical expansion split to a piece of carving to report as well as a very minor abrasion toward the bottom. All else is fine and the patina is wonderful.
