Negretti & Zambra Barograph. An early 20th century clockwork barograph by Negretti & Zambra London. The barograph has a clockwork works that rotate the drum which has a paper record attached and the nib resting on the record leaves a line which shows the fluctuation of barometric pressure. The works are an eight day movement with access through a lid in the top of the drum and will be wound once a week when the paper record is changed. The barograph has a drawer in the base to store new and used record sheets. The mahogany case has bevelled glass panels and hinges at one end for access, the maker’s name is engraved on the brass base plate.
