Very Rare Antique Pocket Barometer by Antoine Redier 1870 possibly silver

This is a high quality pocket barometer with 2 enamelled dial, the upper portion annotated in standard meteorological terms in French. The barometer scale goes from 57-80 torr or mm/mercury and the altimeter scale ranges from zero to 2400 meters adjusted by the rotating bezel with a pin. Body is made in white metal, with nice patina, possibly silver, but I have no way to test it. Signed with the makers monogram ARED and marked Barometre Aneroide. Note that pocket barometers by Antoine Redier are very rare. Second half of 19. The dial has a very faint hairline crack and minor damage around the attachment screws (please see photos). From a US private collection, in my collection since 2010. Diameter 2; Depth 3/4. I traveled extensively in Europe (predominately France, Italy, GB and Switzerland) purchasing antiques for my collection. Professional authentication and appraisal. Almost all my antiquities pieces have been professionally authenticated and appraised. Everything I sell is guarantied authentic for life.
