The item has a glass front panel (see photos). The item is antique and the brass case could be polished up by you to a bright and shiny finish (see photos). The item is not marked by the maker (see photos). Since the item is not marked I do not know the origin (see photos and decide the age, the origin and the maker). This item measures in total about 5 and 1/2 inches high including the loop, it measures about 2+ inches from the front edge to the back side and it is about 4 and 3/4ths inches wide at the circular face.
