C 1900 – 1920 Pocket Barometer manufactured by Short & Mason of London England. Short & Mason was part of TYCOS (Taylor Company) in England. This Pocket barometer has a beautiful gold gilt case and original leather holder. The barometer works perfectly. The dial is silver over brass. The case cover still locks and the ring from the barometer is original and would hold the barometer on a wall. This is a rare survivor and a truly wonderful work of art by Short & Mason.
