We are listing this aneroid barometer in as found condition and believe it to be quite old and in original case. Case is black and appears to be leather with felt liner in bottom and satiny liner in top. Both the hinge and the locking mechanism operate as they should. Barometer is brass with nice, rich patina. It measures approximately 5″ in diameter and 2″ deep and is solid brass with glass crystal. Crystal has a crack as you can see in photo. Top of barometer has a brass ring for hanging. Barometer dial is marked Aneroid Barometer in the center above the hand shaft and above that it is marked… STORMY Much Rain Rain CHANGE Fair Set Fair VERY DRY.
