Presented here for your consideration is this Vintage Circa 1950s, Blown Glass Aviation Radiometer, Weather Vane featuring four paper wind flags with an airplane on one side and black color on the reverse. I acquired this with information from the original owner that this piece came from her mother’s estate and had worked at the Mt. Pleasant, Iowa Airport 62 years ago. The underside is completely opened and when I carry, the wind draft coming up into the vessel triggers the Flags to spin depending on how much wind draft it is receiving. I also placed on my inside window ledge where it receives some sun and it did not spin, however, when I placed it outside on my deck where it receives plenty of direct sun, then the Flags did spin. So apparently it does require loads of sun for it to work properly. I guarantee all my listings as described + Photos. PLEASE NOTE: Please checkout my site for other Fine Antiques, Decorative Arts and Collectibles and other Fine Vintage Jewelry. CONDITION : Very Good Condition for age. Works in outside direct sun but not inside if not receiving enough sunlight. NO flaws to report other than the base edge shows some uneveness around the outside edge as can be seen in my image. Thank You for dropping by to view my listing. I guarantee ALL MY LISTINGS as DESCRIBED. I strive towards 100% Satisfaction with all my buyers. Fortunately, this does not happen very often, but if it does I always guarantee my items as described. Thank You for taking the time to read my listing and look forward to eBaying with you.
