Measuring 44″ tall by 12″ in diameter this antique, early 19th century, Working, English Wheel Barometer has a few feature that are not found on other examples. There are two small knobs at the bottom used to set a two different hand on the 10 ½ diameter face. One is for “yesterday” and the other is for today. Also, it difficult to see, but the glass in front of the 12 ½” tall by 2″ wide Thermometer is convex. This thermometer is on milk glass and is in excellent, working condition. The face of the barometer, the hands and the convex crystal are all original and in wonderful condition. The only real problem is to the fine, figured Mahogany case. At the top is a classic Broken Arch. In the close-up photograph you will see that both arches have been repair. The rest of this circa-1830s Mahogany Case in excellent condition including the antique finish. In the photographs of the back you can see that this barometer is in complete condition.
