FINE CIRCA 1880s-1890s SHORT & MASON WALL BAROMETER IN BRASS CASING – WORKING! A very fine BRASS encased SHORT & MASON “Patent Applied For” marked wall BAROMETER circa 1880s-1890s. With fine engraved decoration dial face. With beveled glass crystal – with no chips. Brass casing retains all original lacquer. Some tarnish to dial face and darkening of backplate. The interesting brass backplate has quadrants / numerals engraved on same. Darkening of outer ring holding down crystal. Measures 5″ DIAMETER and is 2 3/8″ DEEP. Original brass hanging ring attached. Scratches, 3 tiny 1/16 dia. Dings on rear two from inside? And wear throughout consistent with age and use but overall displays nicely. Please see all photos as they are part of the description.
