Antique Pocket Altimeter Barometer C Baker London. This is early pocket altimeter barometer made by the well-known scientific instruments maker C. The silver barometer dial goes from 31-25 inch and the altimeter scale from zero to 8000 feet adjusted by a bezel. The silvered barometer face is made in one piece and the narrow bezel has small pin to set the altitude. The fine calibration is made with a small screw in the back of the device. The body of the altimeter is made of brass and is in excellent condition. The barometer face has some minimal oxidation due to the age and some loss of patina in the lower section. The original case is made of leather and satin. Unfortunately, the locking system is damaged on the case. Dimensions: 49mm diameter and 19mm height. Pictures are part of the description.
