Antique English Charles Howorth Angle Barometer. DON’T FORGET TO ENLARGE AND ZOOM IN ON PHOTOS Information I found online Mahogany Angle Barometer by Charles Howorth, England, with two-part engraved paper scale with credit Charles Howorth, Fecit, Halifax. Charles Howorth was working in Halifax from 1823 to 1852. I was surprised to see this is from 1830’s. The top lower right hand face there is a very small edge of the paper gone. The wood and condition appears to be in very good condition with a slight crack on the upper portion on the rounded part. There is yellowing and darkening on the top interior.. Measures 33″ tall and the width on the top is 39″ All in all for the age it is in relativity very good condition. So please have patience. It was hanging on a wall in the same spot since the time it arrived in Chicago. I have researched some on this barometer and have looked at prices from as far back as 2005 and as recently as this year in January.. Of course serious offers will be considered..
