Here we have a very old Short & Mason barograph. These are a bit older and smaller than the Stormographs. In 1904 Short & Mason patented their design (#22556) of having the bellows under the base. The Stormographs had their bellows on top therefore allowing a drawer for charts to be added. They did not make this style very long. This one probably dates from the 1904 patent until maybe the 1910’s and was resold by Bailey’s in Birmingham, England at that time. Glass (non-bevelled) is in great condition. Has been calibrated for accuracy and clock has been oiled and is working properly. Comes with 52 proper (#2 reproduction) weekly charts in inches of Hg. And original bottle w/dipper, green ink will be supplied in 2 separate bottles to avoid spillage during transit. Super piece for any collector or meteorological enthusiast! All of the products I sell are tested and calibrated. Using the highest quality calibration standards using a special pressure chamber designed just for this purpose.
