The raised design is on a field of green, with the blue base color showing in some areas. The wood itself has no chips or cracks. The two hooks on the side hold securely. The case measures about 7 x 4 x 5. The barograph itself appears to be in good condition, with no missing parts. I did not attempt to test it, as I have no knowledge of these instruments and did not wish to cause harm. I would be happy to test it if anyone would guide me through the necessary steps. The key is included. The brass base is marked RF BREVETES SGDG PARIS and 74929. RF stands for Richard Freres, a French maker of scientific instruments and carriage clocks ca 1900.
