This clock and barometer are both quite nice. The case on each one is very clean and in blemish free. Especially for a clock that is, at least, 40+ years old. The glasses are scratch and chip free. The bezels are in wonderful shape and with a few light scratches. The faces are as near perfect as I have seen in a long time. Both of the cases have very minor splits in them that have been repaired and are almost unnoticeable. It may need adjustment after its arrival. The bells may be silenced with a screw on the back. It is supplied with a winding key. The barometer, if you will notice, is measuring in centimeters as well as millibars and is working properly, it may need adjusting to its final elevation. This is accomplished by a screw adjustment through the back plate. The clock and barometer are mounted so as to display hanging horizontally. Each could be removed and turned 90 degrees to display vertically if one should desire. The diameter of the faces are about 6.25 inches and about 3.75 inches deep. The overall length and width is 24″ by 11 1/2″. All others will need to be quoted. If you want to know the reserve price, just ask. So don’t hesitate to ask about them. The exceptions being any platform pieces as they are in very short supply. Then it starts over at. This is the way the 4 hour watch duty was measured and timed. I got to where I really liked the way 8 bell system worked when I was in the U. During the Vietnam War and knew no other way to announce the time of day (or night) other than with the striking of the bells. He didn’t even know what it was! The old ways have been replaced. But, that’s the way with all things. C’est l’amore, c’est la vie, c’est la guerre.. Must be handled via the carrier claim process and by the recipient. If you are in need of any more information or pictures, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for looking. Since his age has depleted his eyesight and hearing he can no longer see what needs to be done and cannot hear the ticking of the clocks.
