Antique Wall Clock Weather Station with Nautical Motif Wood Frame Not Working. Recently acquired it at an estate sale. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself! Not sure whom the maker of this weather station is. The marking on the back captured in one of the pictures probably captures that identity. Any help in identifying the maker would be appreciated. Your identity would be kept anonymous. My best guess is the piece is from the late 1800s. The barometer has a paper face on it, some water marking. The adjusting screw and arrow still operate. The barometer face is 5 across. Hand on the barometer face is making contact with the arrow to set for tracking change, so cannot tell if the barometer is operating or not. The brass bezel holding the glass over the barometer face is securely in place. The glass is securely in place with no cracks or blistering. We do not think that the. Barometer component is in working condition. What makes this weather station unique is the great time only clock on the top of the piece. The clock face is 3.5 across. Nice brass ring around the face, the glass over the face is intact, no cracking or blistering. The clock has an escapement wheel brass movement. No makers name or mark on the back plate of the movement. Runs for a few seconds, but then stops. The spring feels sound when keyed. The movement will come with a vintage wind key. So, the clock movement is being noted as being in not running condition. The brass back over the movement is still in place. The hands on the clock match and look appropriate to the clock. Nice looking thermometer on the weather station as well. Built in to the barometer face and see how it curves around. The mercury is in place and seems to be tracking the temperature. The glass for the thermometer is intact, no cracking or blistering. The weather station has a great looking solid mahogany wood case on it. Nice pressed on and carved detailing at the top and bottom of the case. Some finish loss, but still has a nice look to it. Looks like the left arm of the top of the anchor broke off at one time and was repaired. The wood case is pieced together below the clock component with two tacks and needs some tightening attention. The brass hanger is still at the top of the piece. This is a great weather station just waiting for the right owner. The weather station is 19″ tall, by 10.5″ across, by 2.5 wide.
