This beauty is an astonishing testament to the handcraft of man’s past! It is impossible to imagine that this has stood for so many years in the pristine condition that it is! The base of this piece of history is a handcarved piece of solid oak done with a rope pattern around it. On top of it is placed a mariner quality barometer, please take the time to have a look at the photographs and appreciate the extreme high quality of this fine instrument, note the very thick glass with a sharply beveled edge. The instrument face appears to be a porcelain, again please look closely there is some light crazing visible on the face, not unusual with something this great age. While I believe the instrument to be of English origin it is not stamped, probably predating 1900, with a country of origin. I have many other beautiful things posted here including other weather stations. Thanks for having a look!
