The background pressed pattern is very detailed wonderful carvingbeautiful grain. Measures 26″ long x 8″ wide. Thick beveled glass over the porcelain enamel face. Face has no chips, no scratches, no cracks. Glass has no chips , no scratches. The thermometer is cased and the case comes out. Thermometer is set on a porcelain enameled back with stamped numbers, brass fittings hold the thermometer in. No chips, no scratches.
