19TH CENTURY (1800s) ENGLISH WHEEL BAROMETER THERMOMETER

This is a 19th century (1800s), glass fronted, wooden cased, thermometer that would have been fitted into an english wheel (or banjo) barometer. It is in good working order. The case has an overall height just shy of 7 5/8″, with a width of 2″, and a depth of 5/8. Appears to be crafted from mahogany. A fine, delicate trim surrounds the front edge. The glass is free of any cracks or chips. The silvered dial is in fine condition. The glass thermometer is free of any flaws, it is held in place with two brass mounts. A pleasing example of this scarce thermometer.
