Rare antique aneroid barometer marked both “frank hyams, dunedin nz” and “ellerys instruments”. This piece was probably more exclusive to the markets near new zealand, and is most likely much more rare to be found in the us and european areas. Barometer dates roughly to 1870-1900, and you will most likely never find another one with the same maker’s marks tying both of these makers together. Barometer measures 6.5″ in diameter and roughly 3″ thick. The glass is in nice shape and the inside looks to be fairly clean. The brass casing has a strong patina and is cracked (pictured). Casing is also a little bent where it holds the glass in place (pictured), but the glass is not loose at all and is still very secure. I will be covering the cracking up with masking tape (that is how i found it) to keep the insides from getting any extra dirt or dust. Just shoot me a. Expensive and a faster (little more $).
