Add interest to a barometer or victorian collection with this round victorian aneroid barometer. Not operational and has no glass. Measures approximately 9 1/2″ d x 2 1/2″ h. Wall hooks add 1 on each side. In answer to an inquiry, i’ve checked the thermometer.
It works after checking it with our house thermostat as well as putting it outside for a few minutes. I do not know if the needle works because i haven’t watched it long enough. Right now it’s at 30.5.
I understand that a typical range is between 30 and 33. There is no rattling sound inside the instrument. I’ve also done a ziplock baggie test on it to show that the needle still moves. There are before and after photos of this. The item “Victorian Antique Barometer” is in sale since Wednesday, August 27, 2014.
