There is a bit of “corrosion” on the rim just below the number 31. The numbers on the dial are 26 to 31with all lettering, numbers, and lines complete.
The dial is 100% clear and in excellent condition. The face has the following markings that are clearly visible.
Based on web browsing, we believe that this barometer was made for the c. Collman manufacturing optical company housed in the masonic temple at 8th and peach street, in erie, pa. Based on our searching the web, we believe that this barometer was manufactured in rochester, ny. The glass is not chipped or cracked. The brass case is also in great condition.
The bottom (at the opposite side of the ring) seems to be a bit flat but we think it was designed that way so that the barometer will stand on a shelf. Again we are not barometer experts.
