19c rosewood tall barometer case only for restoration mop inlay no reserve. Is for a very handsome rosewood barometer case only.
The case is rosewood veneer over pine. It measures 42 inches or 106 cm long. The case is quite beautiful being inlaid with mother of pearl throughout. Particularly pretty is a mop bird just over where the dial would be. This barometer would take a 10 inch dial. The barameter still has its original mercury glass tube in the back, with no mercury. The pulley is there, but the door is missing. The rosewood case is in fine condition, with the exception of one of the round cylinders on the left side of the case at the top is missing. Still really a beautiful case. Please see photos for more on the look, as they are an important part of the description.
