ANTIQUE PHBN NAUTICAL BRASS HOLOSTERIC BAROMETER MADE IN FRANCE WITH CASE IN EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION. ANTIQUE PHBN NAUTICAL BRASS HOLOSTERIC BAROMETER AND CASE MADE IN FRANCE IN EXC. The case is padded inside to protect the Barometer, and is made of wood covered with a thin piece of leather. The leather is coming off a lot on the bottom and somewhat on the top. I’m not familiar with the workings of barometers, so I don’t know about how it’s functioning. The glass crystal is beveled at the outside and can give some of the wording a mirror-like effect. It is in excellent condition as is the brass housing. I didn’t polish the brass because some people prefer a nice patina. I Googled this barometer and was not able to find another one, which leads me to believe that this model is extremely rare.
