Pocket aneroid barometer and altimeter. It measures pressure in altitudes from 0-6000′ and is graduated in inches of hg, from 25-31. Item measures 2 3/4″ in diameter and 1″ thick and weighs 11 ounces. It comes with the original leather case with belt loop. The original beveled glass are in very good condition with only very minor nicks. There is some dust under the glass.
The dial is blued and moves. Item is adjusted with knob on top of instrument. The case is made of brass that has been coated and some of the paint has come off (see photos). The original owner of this item was going to make sure everyone knew who it belonged to. He etched his name “p bloxam 1938 salisbury, nc” on the back of the barometer.
Item has been tested and the dial moves under pressure.
