Wonderful antique pocket barometer and compass set. Original leather case with royal purple velvet and satin lining. Pics came out blue but it is royal purple. Manufactured by swiss maker f. Kuhn, luzern and retailed in london by j. Steward located at 406 strand.
There are 3 screws for adjustment. I have seen the hand change position slightly but cannot attest to the functionality as i do not know how it should be adjusted. The outer dial is movable and has an impressed registration mark of 149175. Face reads “improved scale compensated”. The two pieces measure approximately 2 in diameter not including stems. The leather covered box measures 4″ x 5.5″. Please see the pictures for detail and feel free to ask any questions. A kind ebayer informed me of the plastic baggie test.
