This item is a: this stunning barometer caught my eye some time ago & it has been gracing my office ever since. The circular dial has inch designations from 27.7 to 31.3, a range that covers most of the weather we get in the us. The silvery colored dial has a tarnish pattern on it that renders this vintage instrument elegant & look-worthy. The base of the dial is given over to a curved thermometer. I have watched the barometer & thermometer for some time & it all appears to be in very good working condition. There is a small screw adjuster on the back for you to set this to your local barometric pressure before hanging it on your wall. This will calibrate it to your local sea-level & pressure & it should then follow along as the pressures rise & fall. The brass bezel is deep & has a substantial hanging ring at the top. The dial is 6 inches in dia. 6 ½ inches in diameter overall. This is one beautiful instrument worthy of a weather related collection, or to use every day to keep track of what will befall us. Condition: working, discoloration of brass bezel, tarnish to dial. Well10 tries to offer a wide variety of items that are hard to find or that are just plain cool.
