Offered is a very scarce original condition taylor brothers storm tube barometer with thermometer with its often missing paper instructions complete and readable on the back. This example is c1870 – 80 with a beautiful silver plated brass thermometer register with original tube in place and reading accurately. Original storm tube barometer is working and original.
These tubes actually work more on temperature than pressure changes and form crystals as conditions change. Condition of the rear paper instructions is amazing as it is all there and still readable.
