Here is a great antique rosewood barometer with beautiful original decorative paint applied to the rosewood. The rosewood case is in exceptional condition. It dates from 1820 or so and measures 36 1/2 inches long by 10 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep. I bought this about 20 years ago from the cloisters dispersal sale in lutherville, maryland.
The cloisters castle is a listed property on the u. National register of historic places.
