A beautiful open dial antique weather station, barometer, thermometer with beveled edges, carved wooden details. Very decorative interior piece! Amazing piece of history! Most likely, the weather station was made in 1905 -1910. Similar models can be seen in tariff catalogs for 1905 – 1910s. Dimensions (inch): 22×7.8×2.4. UNUSUAL ANTIQUE VICTORIAN GILT BRASS DUAL POCKET COMPASS BAROMETER c1870

A wonderful, dual cased combined compass and barometer from the late Victorian period! A lovely, wide piece with some excellent heft and presence, it’s in its original custom fitted, double-sided morocco, green silk-lined case that opens to both sides, and bears an early owner’s initials in gilt lettering,’HWA’. The compass is complete with a working travel hold button, and a gorgeous mother of pearl rotating dial, bearing a superb characterful hand painted compass rose with half negative design. The barometer is compensated aneroid example with extremely fine, high quality and charming paint, working outer pressure ring and freely moving needle – though it may not be accurate. One to one side, one to the other – they unscrew to separate if needed. It’s in lovely antique condition with its original crystals, slight loss to the compass rose paint and the catch buttons missing to the case – but this still works fine. It weighs in at 162 grams including box, measures just over 1.75 in diameter and dates to around 1870. What’s more, I offer layaway deals so there’s no need to let any of my listings slip through your fingers – just ask! For security all items are stored in a bank’s safe deposit box and sent fully insured for peace of mind.

1893 Freemasonry Genuine Masonic Weather Station, Barometer, Carved Wood

A small charming barometer, antique weather station barometer thermometer in hand-carved wood. Amazing piece of history! It is very decorative. Masonic weather station with a Masonic emblem on the dial and mechanism (see photo). The weather station depicts the logo of Freemasonry, the Masonic compass and square, and the letters G. Two temperature scales are designated: the Reaumur scale and the Celsius scale. The inscription on the dial: G. Frei METALL BAROMETER Barr. Most likely, the weather station was made in 1893. The same model is shown in an advertisement for 1893. Dimensions (inch): 18.9×9.4. The barometer is working, the thermometer is working, but I cannot guarantee the accuracy. On the back of the case s/n 2338 and 2108. Important: the age of the product is approximate.
