This is a large and original wooden propeller plane axis with barometer on center. With signals of use consistent with age. Great item for collectors. Long is 32 inches. Height is 8 1/4 inches. Most likely, the weather station was made in 1905 -1910. NOTE: The item is in working order. Color may vary slightly depending on screen settings and minor surface scratches.

Offered for sale is a large Black Forest hand carved wall plaque housing both an aneroid barometer and a thermometer. No cracks, no chips, no repairs! It’s a highly decorative piece, and has been on the wall of my home for decades. It wasn’t until I moved it today to photograph it….. That I realized that BOTH the barometer and the thermometer are WORKING! No one had ever even noticed this before… ! In addition, I just discovered the piece’s only real flaw: the round back plate covering is missing. The four tiny nails are still in place — but the cover is gone. A simple project or a labor of love — for your favorite handyman! Or, simply enjoy this beautiful piece as it is. Please refer to the photos. Length is 23 inches. Width is 13 inches.
