Here is a very neat English “Weather Station” made of Oak with pretty Barley Twist accents on each side. The thermometer works but I can’t tell if the barometer works or not. It’s super cute and has Great Eye Appeal and would grace any wall you put it on. It has been thoroughly cleaned and a coat of wax put on it. The dark oak finish is good, not great, mint or exception but good with wear appropriate to it’s age. For it’s overall age and travels it’s in good condition and ready to set out and use and enjoy. Up for sale is a wonderful German wall weather station with thermometer and barometer. The case is made out of two-tone solid wood which shows a wonderful grain. The barometer has the display both in Torr and in Pascal, the thermometer in degrees Celsius. The barometer has a special mechanism (Specialwerk – marked backside)! A real outstanding German artful manufactured item and a perfect addition for any Art Deco or Vintage instruments collector. The thermometer and barometer run – but I cannot assure whether temperature and air pressure are exact! For a good working barometer you have to check with your local weather station about the air pressure value in your living area and then adjust it on the barometer to the same value with the adjusting screw on the back side.
