This is a beautiful and rare A. Schatz and Sohns 8 day Royal Mariner Ships bell clock with matching precision compensated barometer. The beveled glass and dials on both pieces are in excellent condition. Both pieces work flawlessly and are accurate. The clock chimes in the proper strike sequence and the barometer maintains accurate readings. There are no cracks or dents in either piece and the brass shows light signs of wear and patina consistent with its age. The latches on both bezels are turning latches and the hinges are strong and firm. Both pieces could be polished but look great with light patina. Each piece is 6″ wide, 3-3/4″ tall and the beveled glass is 5-3/4 wide. The movement is a double hammer A. Schatz movement with bell on/off switch and fast slow lever.
