Here is a recent estate find. This is a Rare Antique Working TAYLOR Rochester NY Victorian American Maritime Pocket Barometer with Fitted Leather Case. The Barometer is Made Of Metal with Pocket Watch Style Design. It Has a Silver Metal Dial with Beveled crystal Glass, Signed “Compensated for Temperature Hand Limit Taylor Rochester NY”. 3″ in Diameter x 4 1/4″ Tall, and is in Good Cosmetic Condition!!! It is in Working Condition, But May Need to be Calibrated for your area, This Might Be What You have Been Looking For!!! Don’t pass this one up, goes up to 16,000 feet. What you see pictured is what is included! This pocket barometer-altimeter was manufactured by the Taylor Instrument Company of Rochester, New York, likely during the mid-20th century. It features dual scales for measuring atmospheric pressure in inches and altitude in feet, with a temperature compensation feature to ensure accuracy in varying conditions. Such instruments were highly valued by aviators, mountaineers, and meteorologists for their portability and reliability in field conditions. The rare Pollock Antique Victorian Ornate Carved Oak Aneroid Barometer & Thermometer is a stunning scientific instrument from the late 19th century. This wall barometer and thermometer weather station features an ornate carved oak wood case with a white porcelain dial and thermometer, all housed in a brass ring. The Victorian Stick Wheel Banjo Barometer stands at 36″ tall and 12″ wide, showcasing hand-painted numbers and wording on both the bass holders and dial. Nails have been replaced. There may be a small crack in the glass or it could be hardened glue. It is hard to tell – see the last picture.

Found in an estate in central Pennsyvania. I don’t know too much about it other than it’s brass and measures approxiately 2 in diameter. I believe its also nautical in nature.

This is a Victorian brass cased aneroid barometer made by Lucien Vidi. It is an original instrument from before 1930, created by the maker Dubois & Casse. The barometer is a scientific instrument used to measure atmospheric pressure, and it falls under the category of antiques and scientific instruments from before 1930.

It’s very interesting. I have so many questions.. However the positioning of the mercury and the two little dots consistent with the engravings Anthony two little pins or nails in the tubes can be moved up and down the market, the high and low spots with a little magnet I have done this. It’s interesting that there’s both mercury and alcohol in the tubes is generally just a rather peculiar and interesting little item. 13 inches long made of copper and the backing is white glass i think. Perfect for the News weather girl in your life!

Antique Victorian Rosewood Thermometer Barometer. Working condition is uncertain, the thermometer is running about 10 degrees high. In good original condition showing some typical age appropriate wear from normal use, there are a couple shrinkage cracks to the upper portion of the case. Please see photos for precise condition.
