Rare oversized Stormoguide barometer by Short & Mason circa 1930. Possibly made as a store display this barometer with a 12-1/2 dial is over twice the size of the more commonly found Stormoguide aneroid barometers. Mounted on a solid wood stand, it also includes a nice instructional plaque. Dial and plaque recently re-silvered and barometer mechanism serviced. Great working and overall condition. Here is a vintage 1927, Taylor bakelite Stormoguide. The Stormoguide is in very good used condition. There is a fly inside the cover. It measures about 11 inches long, 7 inches tall, and 3 1/2 inches front to back. Sorry about the reflection from the light. This listing is for.. Taylor Instrument Companies Stormoguide Black & Chrome Art Deco Desktop Thermometer Humidity Barometer. Very Good to Fine Condition. The interior display panel has some discoloration mostly on the right side. The chrome has some imperfections but may clean up better. The back dial has a splatter pattern on it. There are other minor scratches and stains on the bakelite? There is very little or no rust. The clear panel is intact. Item changed temperature after being put into a refrigerator. The barometer changes over time but will change up to. 10 of an inch of mercury or so with a tap. The humidity also changes over time. Accuracy hard to measure for the barometer and humidity but they at least seem in the. I’m at an altitude of around 4800 feet so expect to need to adjust the barometer considerably.
