This is a Selsi Aneroid Barometer Altimeter, made in England, with its original leather case. I would guess, from the looks of it, that it is either 19th C or early 20th C. It is in a gilt metal case that is in fine condition. There are no scratches on the glass but parts of the gilt on the back has worn off as pictured. The diameter of the barometer face is about 2 inches. The leather case diameter is 2.25 inches, impressed on the back with “Made in England”. The case is hinged with a snap open button clasp and is green fabric lined on one side and a green velvet on the other side. I would be more than happy to field any questions you may have. Antique Selsi Germany Peg Leg Barometer Brass Back Hanger Beveled Glass Front. The face of the barometer measures 6 5/8 inches wide and the barometer has a two and a half inch depth with a 1 and 3/8 in hanging Loop at the top and two 1 and 1/4 in length peg legs. I have not clean the brass. Total weight of the barometer is 2 lb and 2 Oz.
