Werner’s barometer is extremely rare. It was supposedly produced in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, until 1910. Works great to this day. The date of birth is not exactly established, the date of death is 11/14/1910. He arrived in Kharkov at the beginning of the 20th century, acquired from his uncle K. Freelandt (a well-known entrepreneur in the Russian Empire who traded in photographic goods) premises on the street. Subsequently, he opened another store in the University Garden. In 1904 he was awarded a diploma of the Imperial Russian Technical Society for promoting the success of photography in the South of Russia. Werner was the first in Kharkov to take photographs for stereoscopes, as well as color photographs using an autochromic method, for which he received a large gold medal of the Imperial Technical Society.
