The Barometer is Made Of Metal with Pocket Watch Style Design. It Has a Silver Metal Dial with Beveled crystal Glass, Signed “Compensated for Temperature Hand Limit Taylor Rochester NY”. 3″ in Diameter x 4 1/4″ Tall, and is in Good Cosmetic Condition!!! It is in Working Condition, But May Need to be Calibrated for your area, This Might Be What You have Been Looking For!!! Don’t pass this one up, goes up to 16,000 feet. What you see pictured is what is included! This pocket barometer-altimeter was manufactured by the Taylor Instrument Company of Rochester, New York, likely during the mid-20th century. Up for your consideration is a vintage Pocket Barometer/Altimeter with a 3 dial. This unit was manufactured by Taylor Instruments of Rochester, NY. Aneroid barometer reading from approximately 26-31 inches of pressure and a rotating exterior bezel that lists an altimeter height of 0-5,000 ft. This unit boasts readings automatically compensated for temperature. The original lined leather carrying case in included. And the nickel coated brass finish appears to be in fair to excellent condition. There are no chips in the galss of any sort and this item is exceptionally clean for it’s age in my opinion. The only flaws of note that I see is some light spotting that appears to be on the inside of the dial and light signs of use on the case as photographed. Outside in the sunlight however it is clear these “specks” are very light and simply on the interior surface. Please see all photos to determine condition yourself.
