This is a Holosteric Barometer signed PBNH. There is an intact glass, Fahrenheit thermometer on the lower end of the dial. It is cased in a heavy brass ships bell-type case. For parts or restore. 1800s Victorian 8 inch wheel barometer. Excellent milk glass face. From Francis Taylor, Whitchurch. Has a small chip at the top of the case and scratch on the side next to the dial face. Molding below the thermometer is gone. About 37 inches in length. This Antique Nautical Stick Barometer And Thermometer is unsigned but most likely was made by Charles Wilder in Peterborough, New Hampshire. The barometer retains its thermometer with a brass Fahrenheit scale and a brass barometer scale with a vernier plus its straight glass tube with a cast iron cistern. Note the barometer tube has had the mercury removed. The tube appears to be good but has not been tested. Please use all of the photos to help you evaluate this Antique Stick Barometer. All I have is what is shown in the photos. The barometer wood case is approximately 35″ high x 2 1/2″ in diameter. The glass tube including the cast iron cistern is about 34 high. Antique Lovejoy’s Improved Metallic Weather House Barometer, circa 1870’s. This quaint old weather house is made of metal tin? And is about 7 1/4 tall. The label at the back has instructions and Lovejoy’s Improved Metallic Weather House A Perfect Barometer Alvan L. These houses date to the 1870’s or so. Condition: It shows its age with paint loss here and there. Originally there would have been a thermometer on the front which is long gone. There is no knob at the top and it could uses a gentle dusting. Lease see pictures for finer detail. A great piece to display or restore! I try to describe items to the best of my knowledge. Antique 37 Banjo Barometer To Restore Circa early 1800’s. Antique Banjo Barometer as shown, circa early 1800’s, measures 37 inches long and 10 inches at the widest points. The case is nice overall with some raised veneer at the left top side of the round dial. This is not loose but rather lifted and firmly in place. There are some splits in the veneer which we tried to show in the photos. The bottom and top dials both are missing glass and perhaps hands on the top dial, not sure as I don’t know what is supposed to complete this barometer. The center dial looks intact with bowed glass front and hand hammered metal rim. Wooden inset into circle in the center of the barometer and has an ivorene knob. There are glass tubes in the backside of this piece and one is setting off to one side and broken. Again, not sure what all is supposed to be here.
