Antique POCKET BAROMETER by Negretti & Zambra, presented June 1 1879. Dial displays Barometer and Altimeter readings. Dial also marked “Compensated, Negretti & Zambra London #8171″. The instrument is functioning. It measuring approximately 2″ in diameter and 5/8″ thick. Note the last photo which displays the change in reading by placing in plastic bag, applying pressure, and simulating change in barometric pressure. The second to last photo shows a pin near the stem. I have not explored the method for setting it to current conditions.
