The instrument as a whole measures 47 inches or 119.5 cm high, and is 14 inches or 35.5 cm at its widest. The instrument is wood with silvered metal dial at the center and sweep hands, the dial is 13 ½ inches in diameter.

At the top of the barometer is a hydrometer and thermometer. There is also a small bulls-eye mirror above the barometer. At the bottom is a spirit level and it is marked a. The condition is as follows; there are age appropriate variations to the finish and darkening to the brass bezel.
