This is a small barometer which belonged to an officer in the Canadian Expeditionary Force (now the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada); he used it through WWI. It is in perfect working order. It is marked La Violette & Cie, Aneroid Barometer, Beaucourt (in NE France). It is made of steel with a 3/8 brass rim. Total height is 1 3/8. The glass face is 3 across. The glass is original and is undamaged. Underneath it, there is some dust. It would be worth it to have the whole piece cleaned by a professional. All sales are final.
